Take the thriving atmosphere and colours of Times Square. Add in the simplicity and fragile beauty of Pearl Drop. The result? Pearl Wonder, a dynamic, bespoke lighting installation in New York City’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.

Our team collaborated with designers from Stonehill Taylor and purchasing professionals from Benjamin West. Stonehill Taylor was tasked with renovating the hotel public spaces, including the Broadway Ballroom. We brought our lighting and crystal expertise to their design concept, “Kaleidoscope of Energy.” Pearl Drop in the Broadway Ballroom perfectly matches this vision with its graceful curves and dynamic colour scenes.
Preciosa designed, produced and delivered eight impressive lighting fixtures that create a unique and dazzling atmosphere within the Broadway Ballroom. These 'rings of pearls' can be programmed with individual colour schemes or synchronized together, providing full control over the look and feel of events. Changeable, colourful lighting scenes allow the New York Marriot Marquis to create a perfectly tailored and unique atmosphere for every occasion.

To find the perfect fit, our in-house designers prepared a bespoke solution based on our popular Signature Design, Pearl Drop, to find the perfect fit. Their design enabled the challenging integration of the lighting into existing mounting points. Pearl Drop has the possibility for programmable dynamic, changing light scenes, which was an important request from the client. Hand-blown Triplex Opal spheres paired with little polished brass pearls and black mountings were used in the Ballroom. Each of the eight fixtures is about 40 metres long, creating a stunning and dramatic effect.

The New York Marriott Marquis in New York City is an iconic hotel in Times Square. Guests have the heart of NYC on their doorstep, with many must-see attractions within walking distance. Originally opened in 1985, this celebrated hotel was renovated, including the meeting and event spaces. And this is where Pearl Wonder can be found. Reflecting the energy of Times Square across an enchanting array of events in the Broadway Ballroom.
Composed of high quality hand-blown Triplex Opal spheres, this bespoke solution for the Marriott Marquis was crafted to perfection by the Lightkeepers from Crystal Valley. These are artisans who use their hands, heads, and hearts to create exquisite glass fixtures that honour our heritage and connect it with innovation and tradition.
