The Doha Design District was created to help position Doha as a regional design hub through collaboration with international brands and designers and the promotion of local ones. Ahead of its launch, a Doha Design District Virtual Summit is being held February 17, 2021.

Design Districts play an important role in many cities around the world. The aim of the Virtual Launch is to bring together a variety of these districts to discuss how they contribute to a city’s creative, economic, and sustainable qualities. Participating Design Districts include those from Miami in the US, Turkey and Brera in Italy.

Preciosa Lighting is pleased to support this new creative venture. Creative Director Michael Vasku will be giving a virtual presentation on interactive lighting installations and the capacity they have to not only brighten a room but also bring happiness and inspiration to people.

The Doha Design District will be located within Msheireb Downtown Doha, along with the Heritage Quarter, Msheireb Museums, and M7, Qatar’s epicenter for innovation and entrepreneurship in the creative industries. Preciosa Lighting is pleased to be a Doha Design District partner, highlighting the region’s creativity and innovation.
